Git update > make fails

Hi list,
I have just updated my local cryptseup with a git pull.

As I intended to build the new version, I ran autoreconf -ivf (as
indicated in https://github.com/Jasig/mod_auth_cas/blob/master/README#L111).

./configure finishes successfully with only the following warning:

*** The config script /usr/bin/libgcrypt-config was
*** built for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu and thus may not match the
*** used host x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.
*** You may want to use the configure option --with-libgcrypt-prefix
*** to specify a matching config script.

A subsequent make, however, fails as follows:
Makefile:603: recipe for target 'libcryptsetup_la-setup.lo' failed
make[3]: *** [libcryptsetup_la-setup.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory '/home/malformed/.bin/cryptsetup/lib'
Makefile:748: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/home/malformed/.bin/cryptsetup/lib'
Makefile:451: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/malformed/.bin/cryptsetup'
Makefile:382: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

Googling this yields a lot of results, alas no pointer towards my
specific situation, so I am wondering what exactly goes wrong here on my
system (Debian 8.8 amd64)

Thank you in advance and kind regards,
Demian
