Hi Gabriel,

that really depends on what you distro does for boot-up.
Best ask there or look into its documentation.
cryptsetup is just the commandline tool, it has no connection
to the boot-up process. Some distro-specific mechanism can 
call it though, e.g. from an initrd.

If there is no distro-specific mechanism, then things
get more messy.
