Re: dropped passwords?

Passwords do not get "dropped". Were there updates?
Is the locale still the same? Also refer to 
FAQ item 1.2, last Paragraph. Unless the LUKS
header was damaged, a changed character encoding
is the most likely reason for this behavior.
