How to use hardware support for AES

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi

I use dm-crypt/LUKS on a fit-PC, which is a very small machine with an
AMD Geode CPU.
The fit-PC has an on board crypto processor for hardware accelerated AES.

There is a module for this: geode_aes which is loaded by default.
However, I cannot use dm-crypt/LUKS when this module is loaded.

The Geode CPU is not so fast, and I would like to use the on board
dedicated chip for AES to take some of the load off the CPU.

How can I make dm-crypt/LUKS use geode_aes? Is this supported?

Med venlig hilsen/Kind regards
