Linux soft-reboots and LUKS/DM-CRYPT

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I want to use kexec package to "soft-reboot" on my LUKS system, but I
have concern about the safety of doing it on an encrypted system; I
understand the newly loading kernel overwrites the
current-kernel-in-memory as it is rebooting. Has anyone any experience
with this? Or is using kexec under LUKS a no-go?

Thanks,
RM
