Hello, I created an encrypted ext3 filesystem in a loopback file via dm_crypt, using the guidelines in the tutorial at- http://www.saout.de/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=looptutorial This is a great tutorial, and a total newbie like me was able to follow the instructions and complete the setup, so thanks for that! My system is RHEL 5.2 I have some questions about extending the filesystem- * Is it possible to do an online extension of this filesystem, and if so, what are the proper steps for this (I did see the manpage of resize2fs, but not sure if I can use it for the loopback file based filesystem) * if online extension is not possible, how do I go about the next best option - offline extension, without losing the data in the loopback file. Any help in this regard will be much appreciated!
