aes-xts-benbi vs. aes-xts-plain

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

de.gentoo-wiki.com suggests an "aes-xts-benbi" cipher specification in
conjunction with dm-crypt.

(Link: http://de.gentoo-wiki.com/DM-Crypt#LUKS_Partiton_erstellen)

However, the kernel 2.6.24 configuration only mentions "aes-xts-plain".

My question:
Is "aes-xts-benbi" a valid cipher specification for dm-crypt on Linux
2.6.24?

Which is the difference between the two?

Many thanks in advance,
Ulrich
