Cannot open Luks-Device on RAID-6 any more, any chance to recover?

Hello together,

i have the following problem:
I have four HDs with on RAID 6 over all for (taking 50 GB of each) and
on RAID 5 over all for over the rest of the space.

The RAID 6 is encrypted with Luks holding an EXT3 file system, the RAID
5 is used in a LVM, splitted in several devices, each is encrypted with
Luks.

All devices have the same passphrase.

After i got some trouble with my harddisks, i removed 1 of them,
replaced it, resynced my RAIDs and i cannot open the RAID 6 any more but
the RAID 5 partitions, but the RAIDs are OK (/proc/mdstats says so) and
i use a script that inquires the password and passes it to each
mount-command, so there is no typo possible.

Is there any chance to recover my RAID6-partition? Any
check/repair/fix-tool out there? I thought that RAID 6 would be even
more secure than RAID 5, but it seemed to be not :-(

Thank you for your help,

greets,
Dennis

P.s.:
I use cryptsetup-luks 1.0.3 on gentoo linux 2.6.17-gentoo-r7, AMD Athlon
XP and a Promise SATA Controller with 4x Western Digital Hard Drives
