Erm, AOL: I have noticed the same occasional problem of temporary
freezes while writing lots of data to an encrypted partition.
Kernel 2.6.16 (tried .20 and .27) didn't have the problem yet, it showed
up in 2.6.17 (.5, .7 and .8) and is still there in 2.6.18.
And indeed a simple "renice -p `pgrep kjournald` 0" fixed it for me :)
So the question remains:
> Are there any complications to be expected if I just renice kjournald in
> my startup scripts or patch the kernel?
