How about explaining the apparently known problem with the udev rules;
even Andrew Morton was unaware of the problem. I'll look and see if I
can figure it out but given the testy nature of the environment I'd
appreciate a few pointers.
it is not a new problem
device mapper gets registered into sysfs as
/sys/class/misc/device-mapper, and it has been like this for ages
so if there is no udev rule, udev will create
/dev/device-mapper
i just have:
KERNEL=="device-mapper", NAME="mapper/control"
