nit: Placement of this call is bit unusual (or do have some reason to
it), it might be better to place it at the beginning of the function.

The command lock is taken only in the case of command-message. Hence it placed under check for command message.
I thought lockdep_assert_held was used to ensure that ele_miscdev_msg_send is called while holding a lock, but I'm still not clear on why it's placed here.
