The downstream kernel has support for the CCU and the device tree can be used 
to tell the driver to use the software or hardware mode and is configured in SW 
mode (https://github.com/rockchip-linux/kernel/blob/
604cec4004abe5a96c734f2fab7b74809d2d742f/arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/
rk3588s.dtsi#L4135)

I tried to use the HW mode with that kernel, but without success.

As rockchip doesn't use it, I don't think we should hope too much that it will 
work as expected.

I wasn't sure it was the same, I'll use Boris' standard version and check that

I see, I can maybe simply use memcpy_toio on arm. It wasn't working on arm64 
because it wasn't only writing 32 bits values. IT can be a start at least for 
supporting future arm devices.
