Every time I used to test the driver with the generated dts in RPI 4. I thought you are asking about it. I used the below commands to check the dt bindings and dtbs. $ make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- DT_SCHEMA_FILES=Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/microchip,lan865x.yaml dt_binding_check $ make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- DT_SCHEMA_FILES=Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/microchip,lan865x.yaml dtbs_check They didn't report any error.
