I did a quick run with .option stuff and all seems to be OK. I'll do
some rigorous testing and get rid of it in the next version.

Hmm so my understanding is incorrect.

static_branch_unlikely() - evaluates to false when
static_branch_enable() is called
static_branch_unlikely() - evaluates to true when
static_branch_disable() is called

Is that what you meant?
