Hm, maybe my comment wasn't really clear. I was trying
to point out that both venc_h264_if.c and venc_vpu_if.c
are using ctx->dev->venc_pdata->uses_ext to get
the "is_ext".

I.e. I would imagine it's cleaner to:

IMHO, this makes the structure cleaner, but
