That's right as this function is designed after readl().

The difference is that I need to read the "raw" value,
i.e., I don't want to pass it through __le32_to_cpu()
- as described in previous comments I want to verify
endianness of the data read from the register.

I could use __raw_readl(), but this one alone does
not provide memory barriers.
