So with CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE, my error rollback at the end of ostm_init is basically: err: if (ret) { clk_disable_unprepare(ostm_clk); iounmap(ostm->base); kfree(ostm); return ret; } return 0; } If I go with CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE, I can at least get rid of the early boot message "clocksource_probe: no matching clocksources found" I'll go ahead and send a v4 today with all the changes you suggested.
