The patch regulator: max77620: Add support for device specific ramp rate setting has been applied to the regulator tree at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/regulator.git All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. You may get further e-mails resulting from automated or manual testing and review of the tree, please engage with people reporting problems and send followup patches addressing any issues that are reported if needed. If any updates are required or you are submitting further changes they should be sent as incremental updates against current git, existing patches will not be replaced. Please add any relevant lists and maintainers to the CCs when replying to this mail. Thanks, Mark >From 5aa43599daddbe972f955b2357c76866a6f92973 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Laxman Dewangan <ldewangan@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 22 Apr 2016 18:09:41 +0530 Subject: [PATCH] regulator: max77620: Add support for device specific ramp rate setting Maxim advertised the ramp rate of the rail with some recommended design specification like output capacitance of rail should be 2.2uF. This make sure that current change in the rail is within maximum current limit and hence meet the advertised ramp rate. If there is variation in design which causes the rail current to change more that maximum current limit then device applies the current limit. In this case, ramp rate is different than advertised ramp rate. Add device specific settings for ramp rate which need to be configure on device register when measure ramp rate on platform is deviated from advertised ramp rate. In this case, all delay time calculation for voltage change is done with measured ramp rate and device ramp rate is used for configuring the device register. If measured ramp rate in the platform is same as advertised ramp rate then regulator-ramp-delay is used for the device register configuration and ramp time calculation for voltage change.
