EC work in upstream making progress
Move the technical discussions to mailing list
distro sync is important for a lot of operators due to tooling available-by-default, even if using Ceph upstream packages
containers vs packages: Packages are stable enough
tentacle when fast EC ready, and freeze "U" in January for an April release next year?
Do we need/want to extend our major-version upgrade commitments for the shorter time frames?
Ceph does not give release for an entire year
Need to prepare a plan and see what resources and costs will be needed
Better to go for stability rather than quickness
