Unable to Create/Get Policies via IAM API in Ceph Squid – Need Assistance

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear Ceph Community,

I hope this email finds you well.

We are currently using Ceph for object storage in our project, where we are storing objects in a distributed storage environment. Recently, we upgraded from the Reef version to the Squid version in order to leverage the new IAM (Identity and Access Management) features, which provide IAM users, roles, groups, and policies for Ceph accounts.

While we are successfully using the AWS IAM-compatible API to create IAM users, roles, groups, and policies for a Ceph account, we are encountering issues with the iam.createPolicy() and iam.getPolicy() methods. Specifically, we are receiving a "MethodNotAllowed" error when attempting to use these methods. However, other IAM methods are functioning as expected.

As IAM policies are a crucial feature for managing access in our project, we have been facing difficulties for several days. If anyone in the community has encountered a similar issue or could provide guidance on how to resolve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks & Regards,
