Here are the notes from today's CLT call:
- Ceph Steering Committee and Executive Council
- Ceph Project Governance is https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/governance/
- Executive Council is elected by the Steering Committee. Existing CLT members were grandfathered into the SC.
- Election was held in Oct/Nov 2021. Neha, Josh, Dan were elected at that time and served since then.
- Ceph Foundation Board asks, what's the status? When and how to organize the next election?
- Is CLT and SC membership up to date?
- Clarify role and responsibility of Exec Council
- Patrick proposes a regular meeting of the Steering Committee to vote on measures such as membership, governance.
- Self-facilitated.
- Electronic voting.
- Patrick volunteers to organize first one:
- vote on adding/removing membership
- amendments to governance model
- vote on exec council
- [Patrick] vote on frequency of future votes on gov / exec council (add to gov doc)
- First meeting of the SC targeted for 1 month from now

- [zdover] - The "Testing a CVE Fix in Teuthology" document has to be stored somewhere safe. Dan Mick and I discussed this, and decided that the Sepia wiki is not the correct place to store it. So where do we store it?

- https://github.com/ceph/ceph: Github shows "Unknown and 3 other licenses found", Patrick reviewed our licences.
- Everything is LGPL-2.1 or LGPL-3, with listed exceptions.
- Boost, Apache, MIT, BSD are fine.
- GPL2 in src/os/btrfs_ioctl.h, src/arch/*s390x*, src/common/*s390x*
- Affero GPL3 in src/script/backport-* and bin/git-archive-all.sh
- not distributed, no action needed.

- Next steps:
- Make it explicit that we use s390x files in the terms of Apache licence.
- Remove the btrfs header file. If it breaks support, remove it entirely.
- Patrick will create tracker tickets.
