Hello, The main topic of today's meeting was the upcoming Reef dev freeze. Here is a short list of things that the teams are working on: * RADOS - Filestore removal (some churn in the regular suites is expected and this needs to be added to the upgrade suite as well -- Filestore OSDs won't boot anymore) - shared blob/object defrag work shouldn't be affected by the freeze as the new approach preserves the on-disk format and also not as big of a change in general, backporting is feasible * RBD - layered encryption is in, but encryption-related work continues - live migration improvements are self-contained and may merge after the freeze with almost no risk * CephFS - snapdiff feature (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/43546) * RGW - multisite resharding stabilization - S3 Select JSON processing (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/49411) - new sync fairness approach (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/49262) Overall no blockers were raised, the dev freeze is currently targeted for late January. 16.2.11 release is almost wrapped up with only one outstanding PR (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/48663). The goal is to finish testing before Christmas and release in early January as soon as folks are back. The next meeting will be on January 4, 2023. Enjoy the holidays!
