I have made a pull request on GitHub:
it adds auth method - htpasswd based on Apache2 htpasswd files.
Usage is described in:
You can do with it whathere you want. I have write this by accident, because I wanted to use my already configured authorization based on htpasswd files with subversion.
It checks out, that subversion cannot work with sasl plain login, which is required to saslauthd.
