If you look at the "Contribute" Page, it is all about cyrus-imapd. If
you look at the git log for the cyrus-sasl branch, there's been no real
work at all for a few years:

I said "no real work", not "no commits".
In any case, I chatted with Ken this morning on IRC. He is going to
get the cyrus-sasl maintainer commit privs to the git repo, so that
work can commence on the project again. Apparently a missed item when
things were moved over to the cyrus-sasl foundation. Hopefully that
means we'll see some movement on a new release soon.

Thanks. It's not that I need a new release (though I don't object to
one), it's that our policy requires us to submit changes upward so that
we minimize diversion from the main body.
I have a feeling that one of his commits might render 2 of my patches
unnecessary, but that still leaves some more.
