OK, I am running FreeBSD-8 /amd64 and have not experienced any problems.

I would strongly suggest that you contact the port maintainer:

	ume@xxxxxxxxxxx

Inform him of your problem, including the output of "uname -a" and any
other relevant information that he might need.

I do know that occasionally, a dependency gets moved or deleted. You
could try updating you ports tree and then running, if you have it installed:

	portmanager -u -l -y -p

Then try building the port again.
