authdaemond socket for cyrus-sasl

Hello, and thanks for providing your support to this list.

I am struggling with my configuration of Cyrus-SASL authdaemond-based
authentication, and thought this list might be able to help me.

My configuration is as follows:

/etc/courier/authlib/authdaemonrc:

| authmodulelist="authpam authuserdb"
| authmodulelistorig="authuserdb authpam authshadow authcustom
| authpipe"
| daemons=5
| authdaemonvar=/var/lib/courier/authdaemon
| DEBUG_LOGIN=0
| DEFAULTOPTIONS=""
| LOGGEROPTS=""

/etc/sasl2/smtpd.conf:

| pwcheck_method:authdaemond
| pwcheck_method:saslauthd
| mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN

----

When I try to authenticate and send, the logs say:

Mar 28 11:20:26 zeus postfix/smtpd[11738]: warning: SASL authentication
failure: cannot connect to Courier authdaemond: Connection refused

----

I can log on to courier-imap services just fine, both with pam and
userdb logins. However, neither seem to work with cyrus-sasl.

Can anyone provide some light on this situation? It looks like
Cyrus-SASL can't talk to authdaemond.

Thanks very much,

	Dan Farrell
