no, that's not the problem.

Here is, below, what I obtain in /var/log/maillog.

Example 1 :

Dec  3 09:41:58 dell2 imaps[21484]: Fatal error: tls_start_servertls()
failed
Dec  3 09:41:58 dell2 master[11973]: process 21484 exited, status 75
dec  3 09:41:58 dell2 master[11973]: service imaps pid 21484 in BUSY
state: terminated abnormally

That means that (for whatever reason) TB2 can't successfully negotiate a TLS connection with the server. Perhaps you should try some other way of authentication?
