Jean,

You've configured SASL in a such a way that it requires some sort of
security in order for it to check passwords. That security is normally SSL
or some form of digest method...

I am a newbee ! So I encounter this problem:

I enter the command line :
% /usr/bin/imtest -m login -a xxx localhost

All seems good and I receive : please enter your password:

then, The response to shi command contain the lines :

S: L01 NO Login only available under a layer
Authenticated.
Security strength factor: 0
