a.) You must configure Postfix to use Authentication on the Socket. This is
not the Default.

b.) The Default Setting for the lmtpd on lmtpunix is "-a" this means it is pre-authenticated as "postman" (Check the Cyrus-Imap Log). No Authentication
is required.

Hmm, there is no need to use Authentication on an UNIX-Socket, because the
Filepermissions manage the Access. Why do you want to use it?

i want lmtp to autenticate against ldap

(not postfix autenticate against lmtp)

i closed anonymous read permission on the ldap... lmtp complains about that...
