Kernel panic

Hello,

I'm at step 14 of Jari's HOWTO (Section "7.6. Example 6 - Boot from CD-ROM + encrypted root partition").

Before encrypting my data with the rescue CD, I wanted to test the CD burned at step 13e. However, I get a kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on ram0.

Is this an expected error since nothing is encrypted yet?

How can I make sure that the CD will work after my data is encrypted?

Thanks,

Christian
