Why use cryptoapi

Hello,

I am setting up SuperFreeSwan and one of the options is to use cryptoaip.

I have tried to find some info on why I would use this. From the web site is says I don't have to reboot and can build things as modules.

So does this mean that the algorithms such as AES and BlowFish can be changed and update with rebooting or rebuilding ?

What about adding in new algorithms ?

And where is the install or readme file ? How do I install it ?
