I don't know if it works with 2.4.9 or not, haven't tried it. I assumed that, since it was named "2.4.7" that it was meant to work with the 2.4.7 kernel. There also is, according to the reiserfs website (www.namesys.com) a problem with reiserfs and 2.4.9, so I figured I might as well just stick with 2.4.7 for the moment to minimize problems getting it all up and running.
