Hi, o.k. i'm not too familiar with linux yet. anyway i'm having problems to get cryptoapi on a 2.4.18 kernel running. i tried to follow the encryptionhowto.sourceforge.net howto for cryptoapi and patched the kernel (seemed to have worked). Afterwards i was supposed to patch the util-linux 2.11z source. but in the file i downloaded there was no patch. thus i loaded one (a 2.11r patch), patched the utils (which didn't go to well). did configure and make (which didn't do all). afterwards i tried to follow the instructions again. i did dd ... . finally i ended up with: root:# losetup -e AES /dev/loop1 /home/bs/work/bea1 Passwort: ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Das Argument ist ungültig (invalid argument) so what's to do? thanx for answering!! bea -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ Bitte lächeln!
