RedHat8.0: losetup: Unsupported encryption type aes128

Hi crypto-experts,

I run RedHat8.0 out of the box and have loaded all the modules that I think I should:

[root@juliette mjanich]# lsmod

Module Size Used by Not tainted

cryptoloop 2716 0 (unused)

cipher-aes 23604 0 (unused)

cryptoapi 7116 5 [cryptoloop cipher-aes]

loop 12152 2 [cryptoloop]

and I tried to setup the loop (on the file crated by dd if=/dev/urandom of=test.img bs=1k count=65536):

root@juliette mjanich]# losetup -e aes /dev/loop0 test.img

Unsupported encryption type aes

[root@juliette mjanich]# losetup -e AES /dev/loop0 test.img

Unsupported encryption type AES

[root@juliette mjanich]# losetup -e AES128 /dev/loop0 test.img

Unsupported encryption type AES128

[root@juliette mjanich]# losetup -e aes128 /dev/loop0 test.img

Unsupported encryption type aes128

[root@juliette mjanich]# losetup --help

losetup: invalid option -- -

usage:

losetup loop_device # give info

losetup -d loop_device # delete

losetup [ -e encryption ] [ -o offset ] loop_device file # setup

It looks much like I have an old/wrong version of losetup!? Or does it have a different
name under redhat 8.0? If it has all the cryptoloop stuff built in, it must have some
losetup, that is working!?!?!

Any help is much appreciated!!

Michael
