Hi folks, Kernel 2.4.17-10mdk from Mandrake cooker development tree at: ftp://sunsite.uio.no/linux/Mandrake/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS ...incorporate the loop-AES encryption. If you want to give it a try, you need to download from there at least: kernel-2.4.17.10mdk-1-1mdk.i586.rpm kernel-headers-2.4.17-22mdk.i586.rpm losetup-2.11m-7mdk.i586.rpm mount-2.11m-7mdk.i586.rpm And install them. Once you have it installed, you will have loop-aes crypto available. (It installs and works OK on a Mandrake 8.1 distro) You may also want: kernel-doc-2.4.17-10mdk.i586.rpm kernel-doc-html-2.4.17-10mdk.i586.rpm kernel-source-1-1mdk.i586.rpm (The name of the kernel-source package is broke, but it's actually the correct package) Note: Loop-AES and cryptoapi are mutually incompatable... P.S.: After having installed these, if I run a "make tests" as advised in loop-AES-v1.5b.tar.bz2, and running it from this original source package, it works plain good, showing that the loop-aes incorporation in the Mandrake kernel and associated mount and losetup utilities is really OK.
