Maybe you're facing the same issue as I did about two years ago?

The first thing you can try is the "ignore_PPC" module parameter.

In my case it was a buggy BIOS (some wrong ACPI tables), and the final solution
for me was to add the following boot option:

acpi_osi="!Windows 2006"
