If you're prepared to compile corosync yourself you can reduce its
memory footprint by adding --enable-small-memory-footprint to ./configure

caveats are:

1) I don't think this is well tested,
2) I'm not sure how well this plays with pacemaker
3) pacemaker might be using more memory than corosync
