Utkarsh,
default TTL for multicast transport is 1. So multicast packets will not be routed.

Multicast address is really up to you but 239.255.x.x (or 239.192.x.x which we used for auto-generated mcast address) is good choice.

Because I don't want my packets to cross my network's multicast addresses' boundary.

Subject: Multicast Address

Hello sir,
I want to know what should be the exact multicast address in corosync.conf file. I had put any random address (e.g. 239.255.0.0) across all conf files in my cluster and it worked well. But I want to know what should be exact value of this address?

Thanks and regards,
Utkarsh Katiyar
