Hi

sed in Solaris don't know the option -i.
In build-aux/genman sed is used with this option.
Of course a soft link in is equivalent e.g. "ln -s /opt/csw/bin/gsed /opt/csw/bin/sed" in my build environment.

I am not entirely sure I get where the SED requirements come from.

sed is harcoded all over the place in final Makefile(s) and even if we allow to set SED, it won´t have any effect that I can see right away.

Anyway I am installing freebsd9 and openindiana151a as we speak.

My only concern is that I don´t have a darwin architecture available for testing at this point in time.
