Hi Balaji, According to RedHat documentation some Storage Array Devices configured in active/passive mode and using multipath will display this I/O error messages, so
this might also be your case (see
https://access.redhat.com/kb/docs/DOC-35489), this link indicates that the messages are harmless and can be avoided following its instructions.
