Re: Document for the cluster

Thanks, Kit

I will use those docs later. My question is that normally the source tar ball either has an INSTALL or README file to tell what needed such as dependence, etc. to successfully compile the source code but I don't see that in the cluster source. When I tried to compile, I got errors. From errors, I noticed that I need to compile corosync first.
I have tested Linux HA with Pacemaker and corosync, openais clusters. I am now test redhat cluster and I don't see those similar docs as what needed. Thanks.

Hi Ryan,

Try this for starters:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/csgfs/
Configuring and Managing a Red Hat Cluster for RHEL *.*
(choose your RH version)

The included installation manual in the source should be anmed usage.txt
It is also available on:
http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/cluster/doc/usage.tx
t?rev=1.39&content-type=text/plain&cvsroot=cluster
(download)

Then browse through the following to get a feeling of the commoni problems:
http://sourceware.org/cluster/wiki/FAQ/GeneralQuestions
http://sourceware.org/cluster/wiki/FAQ/CMAN

I have found those two to be the most useful pages of the FAQ section:
http://sourceware.org/cluster/wiki/FAQ

Happy clustering!

Kit

Hi, Kit

That is the place that I downloaded the software but I don't see much useful
information for a new user of the cluster. I downloaded v3.0.17.

The most useful documentation I have found is on:
http://sourceware.org/cluster/wiki/HomePage

There are guides on the Red Hat website,
but they don't go into much detail.

Hi,

I downloaded the cluster source code. I don't see much documentation that
comes with the source tar ball neither on the web site. Can anyone point me
somewhere? Thanks.

Ryan
