Hi Ben,

I seem to remember getting a similar error when using the Debian
packages, although this is several months ago now. I guess you should
really check the package docs and contact the package maintainer(s) if
necessary.

In the end it was easier for me to install everything from source. This
wasn't too hard, but it did involve installing a few prerequisite
packages and hacking a couple of Makefiles before it all compiled
properly on Debian. I'd be happy to send you the notes I made of the
required changes, although as both Debian and the clustering software
have of course moved on since they were made, I'm not sure of how much
use they'll be.
