Subject: Installing RHEL Cluster Suite dependencies problem
Date: Tue, 15 May 2007 13:53:56 -0500
I have been following the instructions on the RedHat website for
installing RHCS:
=================================================================
up2date -force -installall=rhel-i386-es-4-cluster
=================================================================
Half way through the update, I get
=================================================================
ricci 0.9.1 8
i386
Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies...
There was a package dependency problem. The message was:
Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
ricci-0.9.1-8 requires modcluster >= 0.8
The following packages were added to your selection to satisfy
dependencies:
Package Required by

=================================================================
So then I try to run up2date modcluster and get this:
=================================================================
up2date modcluster
Fetching Obsoletes list for channel: rhel-i386-es-4...

The following packages you requested were not found:
modcluster
=================================================================
Turns out that modcluster is not part of the RHEL 4 CS channel.
So, I download and install the rpm file: modcluster-0.8.27.el5.i386.rpm
but when I install it I get:
=================================================================
rpm -ivh modcluster-0.8-27.el5.i386.rpm
warning: modcluster-0.8-27.el5.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID

error: Failed dependencies:

libssl.so.6 is needed by modcluster-0.8-27.el5.i386

modcluster-0.8-27.el5.i386
rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by modcluster-0.8-27.el5.i386
=================================================================
I can not find these packages. Isn't there an easier way to do all of
this? I just want the cluster suite packages to install properly.
Thanks,
Brad
