GFS2 and DLM health

Guys,
I have setup a cluster and GFS2 on 2 IBM blades and DS400 SAN using FC6..
The setup went fine and I can see that files that I create on the shared storage from each blade have diff inode ids...
I have a problem with vi editor that is described in

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=220762

My question is more general though...
Is there a tool that can verify that GFS2 and DLM are functioning properly? How to make sure that distributed locking is really happening? Is the logging tool that I can use? When I delete file from GFS2 file system I can see a message on my console but where can I twick the logging? And the last one: I've seen some pull requests such as http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0612.0/2042.html
with some important bug fixes for GFS2 and DLM - any idea when Fedora will have that avail?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you guys might provide!

Mike
