Hi Mike,

I recommend checking if you have a firewall that's blocking traffic on any or all of the nodes. Perhaps you can temporarily "service iptables stop" and see if it connects that way.
If that's your problem, here is a link to which ports to enable:

If that's not your problem, please let everyone know what version of the cluster software you're running. There are vast differences between the stable code (such as STABLE in cvs and RHEL4, etc) and the development code (HEAD in cvs).
