Thanks, tried that, but we have Mac's that insist on locking. The only way to get NFS locking is with the kernel NFS daemon. I do have more on the assertion: "(tmp_gh->gh_flags & GL_LOCAL_EXCL) || !(gh->gh_flags & GL_LOCAL_EXCL)" on line 1366 of fs/gfs/glock.c Is this related to locks from NFS being sent through to the GFS locking code?
