I had a similiar problem when trying to start clvmd and could track it
back to AF_CLUSTER being defined differently in

  cluser/cman-kernel/src/cnxman-socket.h (30)

and 

  LVM2/daemons/clvmd/cnxman-socket.h (31)

This might be related.
