Agreed. The Ceph project also wants to build packages for 24.04. See
this issue tracker [1].
It got assigned a higher priority just 17 hours ago, so hang on there a
little bit longer ;-).
Be aware that if you choose to use 24.04 and deploy using containers you
might hit this issue [2].
