We have been seeing some odd behavior with scrubbing (very slow) and OSD warnings on a couple of new clusters. A bit of research turned up this: https://www.reddit.com/r/truenas/comments/p1ebnf/seagate_exos_load_cyclingidling_info_solution/ We've installed the tool from https://github.com/Seagate/openSeaChest and disabled EPC power features similar to: openSeaChest_PowerControl --scan|grep ST|awk '{print $2}'|xargs -I {} openSeaChest_PowerControl -d {} --EPCfeature disable Things seem to be better now on those two clusters. Has anyone seen anything similar? This would seem to be a huge issue if all defaults on Exos are wrong (stop-and-go on all Ceph/ZFS workloads). -- Best regards, Alex Gorbachev -- Intelligent Systems Services Inc. http://www.iss-integration.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-gorbachev-iss/ _______________________________________________ ceph-users mailing list -- ceph-users@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to ceph-users-leave@xxxxxxx
