I think you're likely to get a lot of mixed opinions and experiences with this question. I might suggest trying to grab a few samples from different vendors, and making sure they meet your needs (throw some workloads at them, qualify them), then make sure your vendors have a reasonable lead time for getting them.

My vendor was able to get me some D3-4620s in under two weeks, but it was small quantity and small capacity. I have a higher capacity order with your experience... it's all over the map, unfortunately.

I suppose this is kind of a non-answer, and more of a suggestion to shop around.
